LOT 219 LOGGER PANTS IN FORESTRY KHAKI
The logger pants are inspired by the trousers worn by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) forest workers around 1934.Ā The pants feature a double-knee construction. The originalĀ design was reportedly soaked with oil for waterproofing, treating the garment moreĀ like a tool than clothing. All the buttons are made of metal, pursuing uncompromisingĀ durability.
This fabric is a durable cotton canvas, selected by the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot, who was then responsible for military clothing production. It was also used on CCC tents and sleeping bags, suggesting these pants are from the same period. The pants are garment-dyed to match the workwear worn by CCC forest workers.Ā
- 100% cotton.
- Hand wash separately, line dry.
- Made in Japan.
