The original newsboy bag was found in California. It was carried by newspaper delivery children in the 1930s. The wide shoulder handles and the wide gusset are the same as those of the time, but the shoulder handles have been shortened and reconstructed to resemble a body bag. The shoulder handles are stitched at random intervals to convey a rugged, vintage style.Â
The leather is made from horsehide sourced from raw Polish hides and vegetable-tanned in Italy. The rust-finished iron components lend a bold presence that pairs naturally with the leather’s texture.
